Twitter has expanded its tailored audiences capabilities, with some of the tools designed to let Promoted Tweet advertisers more easily create consumer segments and manage existing lists not only with email addresses but with mobile telephone numbers as well.
According to the San Francisco-based company, a key part of the updates is the look-alike-only targeting function: It allows marketers to find new users who are the most similar to existing users and have already downloaded apps. They can then add these to existing audiences as well as the ability to exclude users based on tailored audiences criteria.
The tech notable has also expanded to allow the use of apps to collect and store information as well.
Twitter first introduced tailored audiences last year to give advertisers the ability to target audiences and tailor ads.
