On the panel was director Brad Silberling, cast members Anna Friel, Jorma Taccone, Danny McBride and producers Sid Kroft and Marty Kroft.
“Is H.R. Pufnstuf next?” Asked a fan from the crowd.
“Looks like it,” said Marty Kroft, his brother Sid nodded. They both noted the coverage in Column One in the LAT by Geoff Boucher.
Will Ferrel made a cameo via pre-recorded video that was said to be a live feed with severe technical difficulties.
Then we were shown a 30-second promo for the movie. It was basically Ferrell looking at the camera while a huge T-Rex is approaching. “Oh no, he’s right behind me isn’t he?” Asks Ferrell.
The film doesn’t look like a remake of a 1970’s kid’s show. It looks like a Will Ferrell movie. Like how Ali had little to do with Muhammad Ali – it was another Will Smith movie.
Land of the Lost looks like Step Brothers with dinosaurs.
