Changes at CBS D.C. Bureau

Bureau chief Chris Isham announced moves, promotions and additions.

CBS’s Washington bureau is reshuffling the deck, according to bureau chief Chris Isham.

In a memo to staff, Isham announced some seven hires, transfers and promotions at the bureau.

“As we head into what will be a very busy fall both in Washington and on the campaign trail, I am very pleased to make the following personnel announcements,” Isham wrote.

According to the memo, Kathleen Johnston is joining the homeland security and justice team as investigative producer, and Kris van Cleave has been named transportation correspondent.

Isham also announced that Christina Ruffini will be working on campaign coverage through the election.

The staff of Face the Nation is getting two new faces with the additions of new associate producer Jake Miller and broadcast associate Elizabeth Hinson.

And a few CBSers got promotions: Julia Kimani Burnham is now producer on weekend news through the election, and Walt Cronkite was promoted to Capitol Hill producer.

Congratulations to the new additions, those promoted and those repositioned!
