RH Reality Check Grows Staff

Six new hires.

Reproductive and sexual health-focused site RH Reality Check has announced the hiring of six new staffers. “It wasn’t so long ago that our staff was small enough to share a cab. But through deliberate and steady growth, we have expanded to meet the demands of being a national media organization,” said editor-in-chief and president Jodi Jacobson in a statement. Details are below:

  • Ally Boguhn joins as political and campaigns editor. She was previously the associate research director at Media Matters for America.
  • Kanya D’Almeida is the race and justice reporter. Before coming to RH Reality Check, she was the regional editor for Asia and the Pacific at Inter Press Service.
  • Mikala Jamison joins as editorial associate. She had been the arts and culture editor at Philadelphia City Paper.
  • Nicole Knight Shine is a reporting fellow covering the Mountain/West region. She was a previously a reporter with the Orange County Register
  • Jenn Stanley is also a reporting fellow, covering the Midwest region. She was previously a freelance journalist.
  • Tina Vasquez joins as the immigration reporting fellow. She was previously a freelance writer and editor.
