Can Noah Oppenheim right the sinking “Today” ship? He’ll try, as the former senior producer returns as senior vice president, after a stint with Reveille and as a screenwriter. “Noah will oversee all aspects of the ‘Today’ brand and is responsible for all platforms of ‘Today,’ including broadcast and digital,” NBC News president Deborah Turness said in a statement announcing the news. “His mission will be to guide editorial content, drive growth and integration and identify strategic opportunities.” Oppenheim takes the position vacated by Jamie Horowitz, the former ESPN executive who was hired away from the network with great fanfare, but was pushed out of his job in November after losing a power struggle…

Erin Burnett adds a half-hour show to her already full plate.
