Revolving DoorThe Brian Williams situation is spiraling out of control faster than a Chinook hit by RPG fire — not that the NBC anchor would know anything about that — and we are now in the backlash to the backlash stage, where David Carr has BriWi’s back. The latest: as managing editor of NBC News, he suspended himself from desk duty for several days in order for the storm to pass and an investigation to play out. “In the midst of a career spent covering and consuming news, it has become painfully apparent to me that I am presently too much a part of the news, due to my actions,” Williams wrote in a widely leaked memo.
