Hearst Magazines creates an autos group that houses Car and Driver, Road & Track, Jumpstart Automotive Group and Veretech Holdings. Jumpstart head Nick Matarazzo is the new division president. “Hearst is proactive in our efforts to work across divisions and identify opportunities where our businesses can maximize scale for clients and consumers,” said Hearst Magazines president David Carey in a statement. “Hearst Autos is a perfect example of this: we’re harnessing the innovation and engagement of our brands to provide automotive manufacturers, dealers and shoppers with trusted, informative content and sophisticated tools that make researching, buying and selling vehicles easier and more efficient.”…

The Hill installs Johanna Derlega as publisher. She replaces Adam Prather, who’s moving up to chief revenue officer. Additionally, Bill Rehkopf, Cyra Master and Evelyn Rupert are new associate editors with Rafael Bernal and Melanie Zanona joining as reporters, and a whole lot of other names coming on board as well… Mark McQuillan jumps in at Politico, where he’ll edit Pro Financial Services. He was Washington enterprise editor at Bloomberg until September 2015… Meanwhile, Katherine Lehr moves to Matter Studios. She had been vice president of operations, States, at Politico and will take over as chief operating officer of the Hillary Frey/Mark Lotto concern… And there are changes at Reckoning PR, Crush Music and more
