Do you wake up every morning and think, ‘Yeah, I’m damn funny’?
Well, now’s your chance to prove it. The date has been set for the annual Commedia dell Media event at the National Press Club on Thursday, April 8. Think Journopalooza – exploiting hidden talents of DC media for charity.
The lineup is open to any interested (and preferably funny) media person. Required: a sample of material to the National Press Club, (or get in touch the organizer to discuss within the next week).
Says the release: “Reporters, producers, editors, and bloggers interested in taking full advantage of their right to free speech are invited to share a sample of their funniest material with the National Press Club. Stand-up is standard, but hilarity comes in myriad forms. Singers, jugglers, freestyle poets, magicians, comedy sketches, Vaudevillian duos, neo-Dadaist performance artists-all are welcome on the Commedia dell Media stage.”
