Newsweek Sets Traffic Record

Nice work!

Newsweek.com just enjoyed its best month ever — The Rock retweeted one of its articles!

Also, the site set an all-time traffic record with 10 million unique visitors in March. To put that in perspective, last March, Newsweek.com had 6.5 million uniques. These stats are since IBT Media relaunched Newsweek in 2013.

In a memo to staffers, Newsweek managing editor Kira Bindrim noted that while dropping the site’s paywall helped, the key to traffic is quality work.

“I see us every day honing our voice and strengthening our approach to the news,” wrote Bindrim. “I am so freaking PROUD to be among you. Please keep doing what you’re doing, and keep pushing yourselves. The sky isn’t even the limit here; they have Internet in space.”
