Lance Armstrong walked across the finish line, finishing in just under three hours and less than an hour after Marilson Gomes dos Santos, the men’s winner — Armstrong’s stated goal — but by the looks of the seven-time Tour De France winner after finishing 869th, running the New York City marathon wasn’t exactly a walk in the park with Sheryl Crow.
Armstrong said the marathon was “without a doubt the hardest physical thing I have ever done.”
