WaPo announced yet another addition to their online political team today. Katie Zezima has been brought on the cover the White House. National Editor Cameron Barr, Deputy National Editor Anne Kornblut and Politics Editor Steven Ginsberg said in their announcement that Zezima will be “the online leader of our coverage during the day,” and will be expected to break news, profile West Wing personalities, and pen analytical pieces. She will also be part of WaPo‘s digital strike force -a group of reporters within the paper who respond to breaking political news.
Zezima comes from the Associated Press, where she was on the Chris Christie beat. She has also spent spent several years working for The New York Times in Boston, and was a 2011-2012 Knight-Wallace fellow at the University of Michigan.
Her first day will be March 17th.
