Jena Kingsley Takes Social Media Tropes to the Streets

A follow, a poke and an endorsement are a little different when flung in real life

YouTube gagster Jena Kingsley has struck gold with her latest comedy premise. She recently took to the streets of New York City to see how social media practices such as Twitter following and Facebook poking might translate when articulated and executed in the real world with complete strangers.

The funniest portions of the excursion come from Kingsley’s goofing on LinkedIn. She “endorses” a stranger’s coffee-making skills and later informs several subway riders that they’ve been viewed X amount times by others on the MTA. (And that one of the viewers, that guy, chose to remain anonymous.)

The LinkedIn digs continue on at Grand Central Station, where Kingsley channels the network’s first, second and third degrees of connectivity. Bravo!
