From the Post’s internal announcement:
We are pleased to announce that Zach Goldfarb will be our new Fairfax County Business reporter. Zach came to the Post as the political researcher in January 2006 and since then has written more than 100 stories and political columns and assisted with hundreds of others.
Recently he started the “Washington Monday” column, which has a corresponding blog and podcast. He has impressed his National colleagues with his energy, drive and creativity. He also wowed Financial editors with his memo that showed a sophisticated understanding of business and technology. And we are delighted with his enthusiastic determination to immediately immerse himself in business in Fairfax, which has the largest and fastest growing business community in the region.
Before coming to the Post, Zach interned at the Wall Street Journal.
While attending Princeton, he was editor in chief of The Daily Princetonian, and he received a degree from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 2005. Please join us in welcoming Zach to this important local business beat. He will start his new job in a few weeks after he finishes up some work for the National staff.
