Former Laker Javaris Crittenton, who was traded to the Grizzlies in the 2008 deal that brought Pau Gasol to LA, is wanted for murder and is presumed at-large in Los Angeles. Atlanta Police say the 23-year-old Crittenton shot Julian Jones, a mother of four, to death on August 19.
More from the LA Times:
Atlanta homicide detectives said Crittenton was trying to shoot someone he believed stole jewelry from him in April, Georgia law enforcement sources said.
Jones was caught in a hail of bullets from the driver’s side of a sport utility vehicle. She was hit multiple times and declared dead at a hospital, said FBI Special Agent Steve Emmett.
Crittenton’s last Twitter post before he went on the run read: “This is crazy. Trouble continues to follow me for some reason. I put my trust in God,”
His account has since been deleted.
