LA headquartered Evolve Media Corp. is a giant in the Internet publishing space, watching over ad sales firm Gorilla Nation, female-centric SheKnows.com, fan boy haven CraveOnline.com and more. Today, the firm has announced its latest acquisition: BabyandBump.com.
Laugh all you want, but the content and community space for expectant-new moms has grown to be as huge as the belly of a three-week overdue pregnancy. Evolve is already in the game with Momtastic.com, with which the new 20-million-page-views-per-month property is already aligned. Per the press release:
Launched in 2007 by a set of expecting parents, BabyandBump is currently home to over 170,000 active contributing members… With approximately 20,000 conversations taking place on the site every day, BabyandBump is recognized as the most active parenting community on the web by Big-Boards.com.
For job seekers out there with or without kids on the way, FishbowlLA recommends bookmarking the Evolve Media careers page. At press time, there were a dozen openings.
