CNN’s New Stable of Contributors Includes WaPo and Washington Examiner Journalists

David Fahrenthold, Wesley Lowery, Abby Phillip, Salena Zito and more.

CNN announced additions to its roster of talking heads, which includes people with non-talking-head day jobs, specifically journalists from the Washington Post and Washington Examiner.

Washington Post’s Trump-Foundation-tracking election breakout star David Fahrenthold and Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Wesley Lowery sign on as contributors, while national political reporter Abby Phillip will be a political analyst. Washington Examiner’s Salena Zito, who had already spent some of the election cycle analyzing the heart of rust belt America on CNN, is also named political analyst. All will stay on at their respective publications.

J.D. Vance, author of the 2016’s much-discussed Hillbilly Elegy is also named contributor, as well as a trio of politicos that include former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, former Congressman Steve Israel and former Senator Rick Santorum, as well as former Philadelphia police commissioner Charles Ramsey.

Expect to see them on a CNN panel near you.
