CNN Opens UAE Bureau
CNN might be off the air in Israel, but they’re bulking up their television operations in Middle East nonetheless. Their newest bureau in the politically turbulent region will be located in the UAE, our brother blog TVNewser reports… but here’s the kicker: It will be in Abu Dhabi. Not in Dubai.
The move is a major coup for Abu Dhabi’s ruling al-Nahayan family, who have long been struggling to recast the emirate as a rival to neighboring Dubai.
