Before Chris Christie had even announced his bid for president this morning at alma mater Livingston High School, the team’s campaign slogan, meant to invoke Christie’s unapologetically brash leadership style, had boomeranged back and it wasn’t pretty.
On Twitter, users used #TellingItLikeItIs to condemn Christie’s policies and actions as New Jersey governor, as well as compose ad hominem insults about his weight. Here’s a sampling of policy-related criticism.
