Blitzer Brings ‘The Seventies’ to Newseum

That "Seventies" show.

A groovy time was had at the Newseum last night as CNN screened  “Peace with Honor,” the latest episode in their original series The Seventies. A theater of more than 300 media types, veterans, and friends of the Newseum watched the Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman production, which focused on the Vietnam War.

Following the screening, the evening’s host and CNN’s original silver fox Wolf Blitzer moderated a conversation with Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), both of whom are members of the military and completed tours of duty in Iraq.

The night ended with a VIP reception overlooking the city.  Spotted in the crowd were former Navy Fighter Pilot and Vietnam POW Charlie Plumb, Bloomberg’s Dave Weigel, Time’s Jay Newton Small and Zeke Miller, IJReview’s Benny Johnson, Daily Caller’s Brian Danza, WaPo’s Christine Delargy, CNN correspondent Elise Labott, Hilary Rosen, Rodell Mollineau, Newshour’s Nick Massella, Janet Donovan, Andy Baldwin and CNN’s Matt Dornic, Sam Feist, Rebecca Kutler, Emily Kuhn and Lauren Pratapas.
