Heh. AOL has been banking nearly everything on their new ad network consortium Platform A… after all, it was one of the main reasons they made the move up to NYC.
Now one of the biggest names behind Platform A has quit.
Kathleen Kayse, the former People mag publisher and exec VP-marketing solutions for Platform A, has jumped ship to Discovery. At Discovery, she’ll serve as exec VP for digital media ad sales. According to Kayse,
“Discovery has some of the most powerful brands in all of media, and having watched the company’s recent expansion in the digital space, I was immediately drawn to the role… Discovery’s mix of unmatched quality TV programming plus deeply contextual digital offerings equals countless opportunities for clients.
One more nail in AOL’s coffin? Probably.
