The year-end recaps and “Best of 2008” roundups are already trickling in, and with them will come, like the inevitable Academy Awards Death Reel, a flurry of remembrances of recently expired notables. Be ready to stage your own small-scale commemorative performances with the help of Francesca Basilico‘s new series of finger puppets, created exclusively for Moss by I Golfini Della Nonna (the Los Angeles-based company also does a charming alpaca seahorse). The set of “Six Who Passed On in 2008” (pictured above) features hand-crocheted likenesses of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Jesse Helms, Maharishi Maresh Yogi, Yves Saint Laurent, Charlton Heston, and Heath Ledger, all nestled inside a white felt pouch.
