Young people finally get appreciated.

Screen Shot 2015-11-11 at 12.22.40 PMThe American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME)—the organization behind the National Magazine Awards aka the Ellies—has launched a new award for young people, because getting old is terrible and everyone knows it.

The ASME Next Awards will honor print and digital journalists under 30 years old. Sid Holt, ASME’s CEO, said recipients “will shape the future of magazine media, both in print and online.”

Candidates must be nominated by an ASME member and work full time or freelance for an MPA-approved print or digital publication.
