YaYa Hires VP of Sales

NEW YORK Mike Vann has joined YaYa, a Los Angeles-based company that creates customized branding games for advertisers, as vice president of sales.

In the post, Vann will build and manage the company’s strategic business relationships and will oversee the sales organization. He will report to YaYa chief executive Keith Ferrazzi and will be based in New York.

Vann comes to YaYa from BrandPlay Entertainment, a New York company that uses entertainment-based digital content to achieve marketing and promotional objectives for brands. As co-founder and vice president of business development at the 18-month-old company, he secured clients, developed strategic partnerships, and built the internal sales force and channel sale strategy.

Prior to BrandPlay, he was vice president of sales at online game company Bottle Rocket, and at ACTV after that company acquired Bottle Rocket in 2000. In this role, he worked with brands and their roster shops such as Kraft and Grey Interactive and Major League Baseball and Scient to create integrated, play-based online marketing programs.

Vann has also held business development and executive sales posts at NFL Insider magazine and The New York Times Company’s Sports and Leisure Magazine Group.
