Xpectrum Names Gomez

Xpectrum Marketing Group, formerly Cohen Latino Communications, has appointed Stephen Gomez president. Gomez, 45, was most recently director of Hispanic customer marketing at Schering-Plough Healthcare. Prior to that, he held sales and marketing roles at Colgate-Palmolive and Dial. In his new role, Gomez replaces William Lopez, 38, who is now chief financial officer at the six-person shop. While many of the San Diego agency’s accounts are based in California, Stephen Gomez said he plans to serve a more national clientele. Xpectrum, which works with clients such as the California Beef Council and the Orange County Fair, is also aiming to become more multicultural, he said.
