McCann-Erickson’s Los Angeles office has won its fourth new account this year.
TVN Entertainment Corp. in Burbank, Calif., has awarded advertising duties on a fee basis for its Digital Cable Television to the agency after a review. Billings are estimated at $5-6 million, according to industry estimates. The shop competed against three or four undisclosed Los Angeles-area shops. There is no incumbent.
“[The account win] fills out a lot of things we’re doing in the entertainment area,” said Hank Wasiak, McCann’s executive vice president, general manager. The agency will develop a brand identity for the client, Wasiak said.
DCTV operates digital pay-per-view movie programming and delivery support services for cable operators. McCann will be responsible for creating advertising to encourage small-to-medium-sized cable operators to carry DCTV.
Earlier this year, the agency picked up Fleetwood Homes, In-N-Out Burger, Carnation Instant Breakfast and additional assignments from Sony.
