The market for jobs in advertising, media and marketing showed some signs of life last month, judging by the volume of help-wanted classified ads in Adweek. The numbers are all over the map, but that’s better than the many months in which they’ve all gone south. One caveat: The national total for January 2002 was down 76 percent from the January 2001 figure, which in turn was down 61 percent from the January 2000 number.
