VW Latin America Selects COD

ATLANTA Volkswagen Latin America has given advertising duties for Puerto Rico and eight countries in Central and South America to CreativeOndemanD after a review of undisclosed shops, COD said.

The incumbent, La Communidad, an independent Miami agency, did not defend. The shop had handled the account for the past two years.

Media buying remains with Havas’ Media Planning Group.

COD, an independent Miami shop, has been providing VW’s Hispanic advertising in the United States for the past three years.

The first work on the account is expected next month to support the launch of the Bora model in Latin America, said Daniel Marrero, founding partner and chief creative officer at COD.

Billings were not disclosed, but Marrero described the account as “substantial.”
