LONDON – The African National Congress has hired TBWA’s Johannesburg-based subsidiary, AM-C, to handle a communications strategy to raise some $100 million worldwide. The money will go to the ANC’s campaign in the run-up to South Africa’s first multi-racial elections in 1994. TBWA Holmes Knight Ritchie, the network’s U.K. office, will play a leading role on the account after handling the liberal democrat account during 1992’s U.K. general election.
