NEW YORK Mary Carpenter, a longtime veteran of various Publicis agencies, has been named president at Starcom U.S.
Carpenter was most recently the chief strategy and operations executive working on the General Motors account at Starcom MediaVest Group.
Before that, she headed planning for GM Planworks when that organization functioned as a stand-alone entity within SMG.
Though details of Carpenter’s new role are still being worked out internally, she joins Chris Boothe, Steve Berger and Kathy Ring, who also wear president’s stripes at Starcom.
It is expected that Carpenter will be integrally involved in devising strategy and products for the Publicis-owned company.
