Stanley Steemer has returned its national ad assignment to Young & Laramore, the independent Indianapolis-based agency said today.
Y&L had handled the business from 2003-05 before the client shifted the chores to The Loomis Agency in Dallas without a review.
Based in Columbus, Ohio, Stanley Steemer offers carpet, tile and grout, upholstery and air duct cleaning, emergency water damage service and rug sales.
The client has consistently spent about $50 million annually on domestic ads in recent years, shelling out that amount in 2009 while spending almost $60 million in paid media in ’08, per Nielsen.
Y&L is now prepping a TV campaign for Stanley Steemer — which relies heavily on cable buys — set to break in April.

Y&L’s assignment covers creative chores. Media duties are handled by Publicis Groupe’s Starcom in Chicago.
