CHICAGO – Local business, especially retail, continues to pour into spot radio and is keep the market tight. June is gone, especially among the younger- and female-skewing stations. Los Angeles remains tight, as do Texas markets. Minneapolis, St. Louis, Chicago and Washington D.C. are practically sold out through July 4th. Beverages are coming in strongly as the summer heats up. Fast food, auto and banking spending is up slightly as well.
