SBI.Razorfish Revamps N.Y. Public Library Site

NEW YORK SBI.Razorfish has launched a new online presence for the New York Public Library, whose Web site received 12.2 million visits over the past year from 240 countries.

New features include a “quick links” box with answers to common questions like “How do you get a library card?”; a daily events calendar of readings, classes, films and performances; a listing of upcoming author visits; and a “tell us your story area,” where visitors can share their thoughts on how the library has affected their lives.

The site (www.nypl.org), which originally debuted a decade ago, also features links to free databases on topics such as health and job resources, access to full-text articles in newspapers and magazines, and an online picture collection.

The New York office of SBI.Razorfish, a part of SBI Group, worked on 25,000 Web pages for the redesign.
