Rockwell Collins Selects Conn. Agency

BOSTON Rockwell Collins has selected Mintz & Hoke for advertising services after a review of undisclosed agencies.

Avon, Conn.-based independent Mintz & Hoke will help integrate Rockwell Collins’ strategic brand positioning across advertising, interactive, collateral, industry air shows and other promotional efforts.

The company spent $5 million on paid media in 2004 and $3 million through the first 10 months of 2005, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The company’s previous agency was independent Sullivan Higdon & Sink in Wichita, Kan.

Planning is under way for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa-based company’s 2006 advertising and marketing communications.

Mintz & Hoke’s aviation and defense experiences include relationships with Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand and Electric Boat. Significant experience outside the industry includes work for Wiremold, MassMutual and Praxair.

Rockwell Collins is a worldwide leader in the design, production and support of aviation electronics for commercial and government customers.
