NEW YORK The International Advertising Festival at Cannes next year will introduce a new category honoring radio advertising, according to a festival representative.
An international jury that will take into account the language differences of entries will judge the Radio Lions, which will be awarded in 2005. As a prelude to introducing the category, the IAF will hold a “How Are Big Brands Learning to Use Radio Effectively?” seminar at this year’s festival.
The 51st International Advertising Festival will take place June 20-26 in Cannes, France.
