Radio days for eYada’s ‘Lionel’

Online talk show producer eYada Media Group for the first time will syndicate one of its Internet properties to traditional radio, selling its “Lionel” show on 10 stations representing 20% of the U.S. radio market. New York-based eYada was founded by legendary radio syndicator Robert Meyrowitz, who created and syndicated the long-running FM show “King Biscuit Flower Hour,” first heard in Los Angeles on the now-defunct KMET. Terms of the “Lionel” syndication deal were not disclosed, except that it was structured similarly to that of traditional radio talk shows, Meyrowitz said. “Lionel” is hosted by Michael Lebron, a comedic self-described Libertarian and former trial lawyer who goes simply by the first name Lionel. The diverse roster of guests on his online show at www.eyada.com has included ABC’s Sam Donaldson, football great Joe Theismann, white separatist Tom Metzger and actor John O’Hurley, who played J. Peterman on “Seinfeld.”
