political sweepstakes

DaimlerChrysler has tailored a sweepstakes for the two major political conventions this year, offering the new PT Cruiser to Republicans while making the rugged Jeep Wrangler a prize to Democrats.
The automaker decided on the convention because attendees include the country’s “opinion leaders, policy makers, international media and the public,” said Jim Holden, president of the Auburn Hills, Mich., automaker.
For the Republican convention, the exhibit features the head-turning PT Cruiser as well as an assortment of current models, including Mercedes-Benz products and the new Chrysler minivans. For the Democratic conference, DaimlerChrysler is partnering with the United Auto Workers with the exhibit titled “Proud Past, Promising Future” which promotes the company’s investment’s in American workers and products
