Brent Poer has been promoted to president of SMG LiquidThread North America, continuing to report to Starcom MediaVest Group's brand CEOs (Brian Terkelsen of MediaVest, Lisa Donohue of Starcom USA and Chris Booth of Spark). Poer has been running LiquidThread North America since last year.
LiquidThread North America currently oversees some 25 clients with 400 projects among them, using platforms from ink-and-paper publishing to digital.
"We continue to see increased growth, evolution and impact through our LiquidThread capability," Terkelsen said in a release announcing the move. "As the North America lead of LiquidThread, Brent has been integral to this momentum, delivering content innovation that drives results for our clients."
Poer first joined SMG in 2004 as part of MediaVest connectivetissue, a unit that provides branded entertainment services to clients. He left the company briefly in 2008 to join Warner Brothers, where he launched TheWB.com, and returned the next year as SMG geared up to launch LiquidThread. He's run integrations at Lifetime for clients including Procter & Gamble.
