Most photographers specialize in one specific area, such as tabletop or portraits. Chicago photographer Dennis Manarchy, most Midwest creatives will tell you, is one of the few that can do it all . . . very well.
‘He can do a tabletop and make it look great,’ said one local cd. ‘He can do portraits and make them look great. And he can do landscapes and make them look great. He’s one of the most versatile in the nation.’
‘He knows how to balance the line between art and commerce,’ said Jim Schmidt, executive creative director at McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown, Chicago, who worked with Manarchy when the agency handled the state tourism business two years ago.
Although he makes his home in Chicago, he’s no stranger to national clients. His work for Wieden & Kennedy’s Men’s Fitness campaign for Nike was a Kelly Award finalist.
