Phil Geier, the former IPG chairman and CEO, will join the board of directors of Intermedia Advertising Group, a New York research company that monitors and rates the effectiveness of TV ads. Geier was chairman and CEO of IPG from 1980 until December 2000 when he became chairman emeritus of IPG. Geier also serves on the board of directors of AEA Investors, Alcon Laboratories, Foot Locker and Fiduciary Trust International, among others.
