NEW YORK-Ammirati Puris Lintas last week promoted Philip Palazzo to president, international operations, overseeing all Ammirati offices, except New York and Chicago. Those offices report to agency chairman and chief executive Martin Puris.
Palazzo replaces Max Gosling, who was named president, Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa.
Palazzo, who joined the former Ammirati & Puris 18 years ago, will oversee operations and business planning for a global network of 152 offices. Ammirati’s 11 regional directors will report to Palazzo, who reports to Puris.
“[Palazzo] knows our culture, style and network,” said Puris in a statement. “He is one of the most effective operations managers I have ever encountered.”
Currently general manager of Ammirati’s New York office, Palazzo was also chief financial officer, APL Americas. The position of CFO will remain vacant for the near future. Palazzo remains general manager until a new chairman and chief executive are named; those posts have been vacant since Duncan Pollock relinquished them last month to focus on his growing responsibilities as president, North American operations.
Gosling joined Lintas Australia in 1979. With the Asian region’s economic turbulence, “we thought it prudent to have a highly knowledgeable and experienced senior executive closely supervising our operations there,” said Puris.
