AvreaFoster, Dallas, hired six new staffers: senior copywriter Jack Honig, senior art director Karen Bouton, production coordinator Karen McGregor, senior production artist Joan Wagner, assistant account executive Shirley Gladbach and copy editor Joel Thomas.
Brian Ongaro was tapped as vice president and general manager of KZPS-FM and KDGE-FM, both Dallas. He previously held similar titles at WMIL-FM and WOKY-AM in Milwaukee.
Texas Monthly, Austin, promoted Marilyn Carter to marketing director and filled her former national merchandising manager post with Liz Rodriguez, who was associate merchandising manager. The magazine also added former Austin Chronicle online services director Laxman Gani as its new-media director.
Martin Raab was appointed vice president of marketing and promotions for Chancellor Media’s AMFM Radio Networks in Dallas. Previously, Raab held the same position at ABC Radio Networks, also Dallas.
M/C/C, Dallas, promoted James Florez to senior account manager after he served one year as account manager. Florez came to M/C/C in 1995.
Gugel Advertising of Dallas welcomed broadcast buyer Eileen Stafford, assistant planner Brian Zerangue and traffic assistant Jay Sanchez.
Rhodes Stafford Wines Creative, Dallas, added art director and designer Elizabeth Byars and copywriter Tim Vanderburg. Byars was previously employed at Alternatives Design 2D/3D in New York while Vanderburg was at Fellers & Co. in Lubbock.
Dallas-based Bam recently hired art director Mark Scholes, formerly of The Richards Group, Dallas.
ARKANSAS
Taylor Mack Advertising in Fayetteville added senior art director Stephen Cassar and promoted Gray Griffin to vice president of client services. Cassar was art director at Kirby Marketing Services in Melbourne, Australia.
LOUISIANA
Alison Crimmins joined the staff of Duke Unlimited, Metairie, as production and traffic assistant. Crimmins was previously marketing communications coordinator at Dorion Advertising and Public Relations, also Metairie.
