Brad Epstein was appointed executive creative director of The Lord Group and its parent company, Spier New York. Epstein, who reports to Spier New York president and CEO Bethany Chamberlain and Lord Group president Richard Rapp, is responsible for the development of the creative product of both agencies. He replaces Lord Group executive crea tive directors Jim Ritterhoff and Tony Kobylinski, who left the shop earlier this year to pursue other interests. Epstein previously served as executive creative director of I-Traffic. Chamberlain will continue to play a strategic role on the creative side of Spier New York and The Lord Group, both of which are based in New York.
The National College Sports Network hired four executives. Kelly Dunne was named vice president of creative services; she most recently was an executive pro ducer at The Diecks Group. Patricia Power was appointed senior vice president of operations; she formerly was vice president of operations for Major League Baseball Productions. Barbara Shulman was hired as senior vice president and general counsel for NCSN; she previously served as senior vice president of business and legal affairs for Oxygen Media. Joseph Salerno was named vice president of Midwest affiliate sales; he formerly was director of sales for Sea Change International. NCSN is based in New York. The cable network, which is devoted exclusively to college sports, was co-founded by president and CEO Brian Bedol, chairman Stephen Greenberg and executive vice president, chief operating officer Chris Bevilacqua. NCSN is expected to launch during first-quarter 2003.
Jeff Christian was promoted to associate publisher of Primedia’s American Baby Group. Christian, who is based in New York, will oversee the advertising-sales efforts of American Baby Group’s print properties such as American Baby, First Year of Life and Espera. Christian most recently was group advertising director of the American Baby Group. Separately, Neil Dant was appointed West Coast sales manager for National Real Estate Investor and Shopping Center World magazines at Primedia Business’ Real Estate Group, a newly created position. He will be based in the Irvine, Calif., office. Dant formerly was an account executive for The Golf Digest Cos. Primedia is based in New York.
Clay Hausmann was pro moted to managing director of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide’s San Francisco and Los Angeles offices. He previously served for more than one-and-a-half years as senior vice president and group director of the technology practice in San Francisco. Ogilvy PR, based in New York, is part of WPP Group.
The MWW Group, based in East Rutherford, appointed Bonnie Warschauer senior vice president in the consumer marketing department. She is based in East Rutherford. Warschauer most recently was senior vice president at PR21, where she worked on accounts such as Guinness United Distillers & Vintners, Remington Products and Bausch & Lomb. MWW is an independent brand of Golin/Harris International and part of the Interpublic Group.
Knezic/Pavone Advertising in Harrisburg appointed Michelle Pack an account executive; she formerly was an account executive for Albert/Bogner Design Communications in Lancaster. In addition, Knezic/Pavone named Danielle Sanderson public relations/ research coordinator; she interned with Kne zic/Pavone in the summer of 2001, returned to work with the agency this summer and has now been named to a full-time position.
