NEW YORK
Harrison Leifer DiMarco in Rockville Centre appointed Joseph Benty vice president of brand strategy and business development. He will lead the shop’s recently unveiled Dynamic Brand Architecture proprietary branding program, and will also assume responsibility for accounts previously managed by HLD senior vice president Guy Speyer, who re tired recently. These accounts include Van Son Holland Ink, Riverhead Building Supply, Peconic Landing and Win throp University Hospital. Benty most recently was vice president/director of brand strategies at Rabasca + Co.

Horizon Media named Nicole Coffman an account supervisor in its Los Angeles office. She will manage several of the shop’s major accounts, including Midway Home Enter tainment and IHOP. Coffman most recently served as an account supervisor at Carat in Los Angeles. Horizon is based in New York and Los Angeles; the agency also has offices in Atlanta and Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Sharpe Partners in New York appointed Ed Morris chief financial officer. He most recently was vice president, chief financial officer for Castor Advertising Corp.’s New York and Miami offices.

Dawn Hill was elected to the board of directors of the New York chapter of American Women in Radio & Television. She is senior director of marketing at American Urban Radio Networks and is based in the company’s New York office.

Media Logic hired Deirdre Young as business development associate. She previously worked as an independent contractor for Monster.com. Media Logic is based in Albany.

Pat Slattery was promoted to travel category manager at AARP Publications, a newly created position. She will oversee travel accounts such as the British Tourist Authority, Peter Deilmann Cruises and Trafalgar Tours for all AARP publications. Slattery, who is based in New York, formerly was a senior sales representative. AARP Publications is a division of AARP, which is based in Washington.

Deborah Steiner was named travel advertising manager at Bridal Guide magazine. She previously served as advertising manager at Garden Design and Saveur magazines. Bridal Guide, which is based in New York, is published by RFP LLC.

NEW JERSEY
John Digles rose to group vice president, general manager of The MWW Group’s Chi cago office. He previously served as group director. Larry Zoeller, who formerly was general manager of the Chicago office, will now serve as senior counselor; he will continue to play an active role at the firm and will help guide communications audits, public affairs and healthcare projects, among other duties. In addition, Zoeller will co-manage and develop MWW’s recently launched Nutritionals and Functional Foods practice. MWW, based in East Rutherford, is an independent brand of Golin/Harris International and part of the Interpublic Group.

Catalyst Communications made the following promotions in its medical-education and advertising/promotion departments. Cheryl Park rose from vice president to senior vice president, management supervisor. Mark Wilson was elevated from associate project director to project director. Maria Millan was promoted from senior project coordinator to associate project manager. Catalyst is based in South Plainfield and also has offices in Toronto and Montreal.

Ribotsky Worldwide hired Daniel Arenholm as vice president and general manager. He previously was Nordic manager at Paris-based Publicis MSW. Ribotsky is based in Somerset.
