NEW YORK Sean Cunningham, formerly executive vice president, media director at Ammirati Puris Lintas in New York, will retain that title at the newly merged Lowe Lintas & Partners. At Bates USA in New York, account supervisor Barbara Giuffre and management representatives Mitch Baum, Joan Lemler, Tony Minor and Harry Tower each added the title of senior vice president. Bartle Bogle Hegarty U.S., New York, hired Peter Cane, copywriter, and John Franco, art director, both formerly at Berlin, Cameron & Partners. The team will work on the PAX, Johnny Walker and Lipton accounts. The Diversified Agency Services division of New York's Omnicom Group promoted Carmen Baez to president of Latin America, a newly created position. She had been executive vice president for the region. Quinn Fable Advertising made three staff changes. Executive vice president, creative director Hilary Cantilina and art director William Brese joined the New York shop from Burrell Yagnik Relationship Marketing. Cantilina had been senior vice president, director of creative services; Brese was a graphic designer. General manager Jessica Rubin added the title of vice president. The Sterling Group in New York promoted Thomas Higbee from director of client services to senior account supervisor. Angela Futterer joined the agency as senior designer, from Lothar Boehm Design in Hamburg, Germany, where she was art director. Chamberlain Communications Group, New York, appointed Robert Schwadron director of media services. He had served as InterScience director of media relations and was a vice president at Hill & Knowlton's New York Health Group. Palio Communications in Saratoga Springs named Mark McCoy vice president, account director. He had worked at SmithKline Beecham and Schering-Plough. Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, New York, added two staffers to its technology group. Benjamin Tanner joined the agency as an account executive, from Ruder Finn. Greta Pittard was named assistant account executive; she had been an associate producer and editor at IBM's Interactive Media center. Communications/Marketing Action in New York promoted two staffers and hired one. Beth Grossman advanced from vice president to executive vice president and Joan Mansbach was elevated from creative marketing director to vice president, creative marketing. Dick Wolfe joined the agency as director of new media/business accounts. He had been a publicity manager at Ruder Finn. NEW JERSEY In Parsippany, R&J Integrated Marketing Communications hired Dale Sutphen as art director. He had held designer and art director positions at several New Jersey ad agencies. Karen Gross has also joined the agency, as an advertising account manager. Gianettino & Meredith in Short Hills named Scott McAloon a systems administrator. He had been a technician at Virtual Media in New York. Horizon Communications in East Hanover promoted three staffers. Amy Sears advanced from account supervisor to account group supervisor; Beth Bennington was elevated from copy supervisor to creative group supervisor; and Anne Squadrito was promoted from art supervisor to creative group supervisor. Creative Marketing Alliance added six staffers. Bob Hassmiller joined the Princeton Junction-based agency as director; Nicole Zamerovsky was named marketing coordinator, association services group; Susan Tibbetts was appointed senior account executive; Elizabeth Madden-Zibman was hired as copywriter; Mike Haraburda joined the agency as senior art director; and Janna Moore was appointed traffic/production manager. PENNSYLVANIA Meredith Trimble joined Elkins Park agency Mitchell & Resnikoff as an account coordinator. She most recently worked at TransPerfect Translations in New York. Dorland Sweeney Jones Health Communications in Philadelphia added three staffers: Stacy Mayhorne joined the agency as account supervisor, from DePersico Design; recent Syracuse University graduate Brian Bertsch was named assistant account executive at the public relations department; and Lena Blynn was named public relations account coordinator. Medical Broadcasting has added two staffers. Nancy Hesford joined the Philadelphia agency as marketing manager; she had been a marketing specialist at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Alayne Wartell was hired as senior systems engineer; she was most recently a senior software engineer at Reuters Investor Group in Norristown. Kelly Simmons, creative director at Goose in Philadelphia, was appointed to the Philadelphia Advertising Club's sixth annual All-Star Team as a copywriter
