McD’s Names Napier Euro Marketing Chief

CHICAGO McDonald’s Corp. has appointed Kay Napier senior vice president, chief marketing officer of its European operations.

“Kay helped lead the U.S. company’s foray into marketing to women—both moms and individuals—with the successful launch of premium salads and the development of an adult ‘Go Active’ Happy Meal,” said global chief marketing officer Larry Light in a statement. “We are sharpening our focus on marketing in Europe and Kay will help lead our efforts with the kind of fresh, innovative thinking that is defining our breakthrough ‘I’m lovin’ it’ campaign.”

Napier joined the Oak Brook, Ill., company last November as svp, marketing position, reporting to Light and working with U.S. svp of marketing Bill Lamar. Prior to that, she was vice president of North American pharmaceuticals and corporate women’s health and vitality at Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati.
