MILWAUKEE – McDonald Davis & Associates laid off an undisclosed number of staffers on Thursday as a result of losing the $8-million ShopKo business earlier this summer. Agency head Dick McDonald wouldn’t say how many staffers were laid off, but did say it was a figure less than the 15-16% hit the agency took in billings. Fifteen percent of the agency’s 62-member workforce would equal nine people. Other estimates ranged as high as 13.
