Martin/Williams Is Selected for E*Trade

CHICAGO E*Trade has named Martin/Williams for creative and media chores on its $35-45 million account, the agency and client have confirmed.

The Minneapolis agency, a unit of the Omnicom Group, won the business after a review that included sibling BBDO in New York; Dentsu’s Colby & Partners in Santa Monica, Calif.; Havas’ McKinney & Silver in Raleigh, N.C.; and Publicis Groupe’s Publicis in New York and Seattle, according to sources.

Select Resources in West Hollywood, Calif., led the review. The consultant declined comment, and the client in Menlo Park, Calif., could not be reached.

Since the spring, E*Trade has been a creative client of Alias Advertising, a 4-6 person shop in San Rafael, Calif. Interpublic Group’s Initiative Media has handled E*Trade planning and buying.
