Kolpack Goes to Post

The visual effects supervisor on the award-winning Nike commercial “The Wall,” Mark Kolpack, has signed with The Post Group in Hollywood, Calif., as a visual effects supervisor and producer. His hire represents an effort to attract commercial production business, said company representative Joe Leggett Jr. At Kolpack’s Perfx, a visual effects boutique he co-founded with Peter Murray in 1995, he supervised visual effects on commercials for Lockheed Martin, Cadillac (“El Dorado”), HBO (“Falling TV”) and Visa (“Wound and Wound”) for BBDO; and AT&T (“Baseball”) for Young & Rubicam, among others. Kolpack’s commercial background includes a two-and-a-half-year stint as the post-production and effects supervisor at Pytka, where he worked on Apple, McDonald’s, Levi’s, Pepsi, Federal Express and the 3D versions of M&M. Kolpack reports to Vince Lyons, Post Group president.
