Adam Cotumaccio was named global chief operating officer at Kinetic Worldwide, the out-of-home specialty firm owned by WPP.
His appointment today is Steve Ridley’s first significant move since he was named global chief executive officer two weeks ago.
Based in New York, Cotumaccio will report to Ridley and oversee all operations for Kinetic’s 47 offices. He will work with Kinetic’s regional CEOs and its global divisions to ensure the development and integration of Kinetic’s services.
Since last October, Cotumaccio has been a consultant to Kinetic. He has held a number of senior positions, including chief operating officer of GroupM North America operating units MEC Access, Mindshare Performance, Mediacom ESP and Maxus ESP.
“I am delighted that Adam is joining the team. His background and commercial experience will further strengthen Kinetic’s position as global leader for both strategic planning and implementation of all forms of lifestyle experiences and media environments across all our territories. Having worked with Adam through his own consultancy, both parties felt that working together was the natural progression of an exciting commercial relationship,” Ridley said.
Kinetic has global billings of $4.4 billion.
