HONG KONG – After weeks of speculation, Wharf Cable has officially awarded its account, stated at $3.8 million with estimates that double that figure, to J. Walter Thompson/Hong Kong. JWT went into the pitch with its direct marketing arm and Ogilvy & Mather Public Relations, resulting in the new company called JWT Entertainment. Though Wharf has not been granted an official license from the Hong Kong government, it is preparing for a full launch this October.
